Who We Are
The Charleston Engineers Joint Council is an educational and service-oriented professional society.
We are a 501(c)6 non-profit organization and a Registered Charitable Organization in the state of South Carolina.
Our objective is to promote the advancement and prestige of the engineering professions by encouraging cooperation among local engineering and scientific societies and educational institutions.
Our mandate is to encourage joint cooperation of these organizations for effective public service, mutual educational programs and assist them in the pursuit of their goals.

What We Do
The Council hosts the Engineers Week Banquet, awards the Engineer of the year and the Technical Project Team of the Year, awards a minimum of two scholarships annually, in addition to providing multiple sponsorships to Lowcountry STEM programs/teams.
In our fiscal year 2021, the Council awarded/contributed to eight scholarships totaling $9,500!
We also provided fifteen sponsorships for local STEM programs totaling $7885!
The Council promotes joint events that provide professional development for engineers throughout the Charleston community. Council representatives hold offices in their respective societies and act as coordinators between their respective societies and the Council to enable collaboration at the highest level.
