Our 2024 CEJC Engineers Banquet was a huge success! We could not have accomplished so much without your support and attendance! Every year, we look forward to networking, raising money for sponsorships and scholarships, and celebrating our Engineering of the Year! On behalf of the entire CEJC leadership team, we would like to say thank you to everyone who attended, donated and participated in the silent auction. We raised over $8900!!! This money will benefit so many stem organizations for our youth in the Lowcountry and to provide scholarships to several students in the tri-county area. Special thanks to Incose for their generous Diamond tier donation. Congratulations to Bill Turner of Dominion Energy on his Engineer of the Year award! We also appreciate our keynote speaker, Morgan Crapps, for sharing some exciting news from Redwood Materials. Great job, Morgan! It was amazing to see the youth groups in attendance including:
Shawn Gordon, CEJC endowment chair, presented TSgt Carla Ferrette-Clark with the 2024 Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) Charleston SC Chapter STEM Teacher of the Year award! Well deserved. Ronald Neil, on behalf of the CEJC, presented the Dominion Youth STEM program with a CEJC sponsorship check. It was incredible to see the students accept the check in person, on stage! We would also like to share our extreme gratitude to our sponsors. To each of you, thank YOU! Your continued support made this event successful. The event would not have been possible without the amazing host sponsor, The Citadel, Faculty and Cadets! Especially John (PEEPS) Peeples, Arissa McNeal,! Y'all are awesome. Cadet Weston Smith did an amazing job with the invocation and we couldn't have done any of it without the A/V help from Dr. Kevin Skenes! Special thanks go to the Citadel Gospel Choir for singing the national anthem during the banquet and the Military Magnet Academy Color Guard for presentation of the colors. Job well done! And last but not least, thank you to our MC, Sedrick Stewart on his inaugural run! Great job. Hope to see y'all next year!
